As the Business Analyst, you will support the Project Manager and Head of Product Delivery and Implementation. You will actively connect with the key stakeholders to deliver product outcomes, responsibilities to identify business needs, define solutions, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure that the delivered solutions meet the business outcome.
Job responsibilities
- Support the product delivery and implementation team relating to new product launches, product enhancements, campaigns, fund launches and Day 2 build.
- Define scope and lead user requirement gathering and document robust business requirements for system development.
- Support in user story grooming and SME requirements gathering.
- Project management tasks such as on user story creation and grooming, test case creation, testing, defect raising and problem solving.
- Liaise with cross-functional or regional representatives to support smooth running of the project.
- Plan test cases, results verification prior and after releasing system to the business users for product releases, workflow and base system enhancements.
- Facilitate communication between IT and business users to ensure all have a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
- Prepare training documentation for new systems for distributor/customer training.
- Support any other ad hoc department tasks assigned by Portfolio manager or Product management lead.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, IT or other related disciplines.
- More than 5 years’ experience working in the insurance industry is essential.
- At least 5 years’ related experience, working in similar capacity in business analysis and testing experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with being organized, structured & methodological, assertive characteristics are required.
- Ability to map and review an end-to-end process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and report writing ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven organizational negotiation and influencing skills.
- Credibility, persistence, confidence to lead critical projects, conduct workshops and presentations with management and other stakeholders as lead BA.
- Quick thinking ability and an inquiring mind.
- Independently driven with ability to work well in large teams and provide deliveries with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies.
